About the Product
Product description: Arduino Portenta H7 Lite - ABX00045
The Portenta Lite Arduino was created for those who want the performance of the standard Portenta but without the wireless communication, video output and advanced encryption chip. Portenta Lite is an economical solution, ideal for environments where wireless communication is not required or possible. The board is based on an economical STM32H747 microcontroller , based on ARM Pelion technology. The chip is equipped with two cores: Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M4, clocked at up to 480 MHz and up to 240 MHz. will allow you to run programs written in Arduino, MicroPython and Java.
Multitasking and flexibility of Arduino Portenta H7
Arduino Portenta H7 Lite board, just like standard Arduino Portenta H7, is equipped with two parallel cores that can communicate with each other via Remote Procedure Call mechanism, which allows to call functions between cores. Portenta can perform multiple tasks simultaneously. While one core will be busy with complex algorithm calculations, the other will be able to work on low-level busy tasks, such as motor control. With the board, you can create machine learning and neural network-based designs through TensorFlow™ Lite software. The board supports applications, programs and code such as:
Arduino (using Arm® Mbed™ OS)
Mbed™
Micropython / Javascript
TensorFlow™.
Examples of usage of Arduino Portenta board
High-end industrial machines
Laboratory equipment
Computer vision
PLC
User interfaces tailored to industrial needs
Robot controller
Critical devices
Fast startup calculations (ms)
New connector standard
On the underside of the Arduino Portenta H7 Lite board is an 80-pin connector set. This gives the board versatility when used in projects of different sizes that need fewer or more connectors. The Arduino Portenta H7 Lite is also compatible with the Arduino MKR series of boards, both in terms of leads and board size. Portena also comes with a USB C connector for powering the board and for communication.
