It detects metal objects as close as 1-4mm. You can use this sensor in industrial security systems. The sensor operating in the voltage range of 6V DC to 36V DC gives the output according to the input voltage. Working with NPN (Normally Closed) logic, the sensor gives the input voltage to the output with a small loss when there is no object in front of it, and outputs 0V when there is an object in front of it. You can check whether it detects the object in front of it with the LED behind it. The measuring distance may vary depending on the voltage supplied.
