The TH Board Connect FPC is a specialized multi-lane ribbon cable engineered to withstand the extreme accelerations and constant movement of the X1's CoreXY motion system. This specific cable connects the Toolhead Board to the interface components within the gantry.
As an "Exclusive" part for the X1 Series, it is designed to carry high-speed signals for the Micro-Lidar, the chamber camera interface, and the toolhead sensors. Due to the high-frequency flexing it undergoes during printing, this FPC is built with a high-durability polyimide substrate to prevent trace fracturing and signal degradation.
